Fun Fleet Bus #96
Vin: S6H-4504A
Built: June 1973 for Batavia Bus Lines of Rochester, NY
Fourth Generation (1972-1976)
This bus was purchased from Rochester, Ny. I had it for several years and was a good bus in that I never did much to it except general maintenance,
This was a fourth-generation fishbowl, 96 inches wide and 35 feet long. It had a single door and was powered by a 6V71 Detroit Diesel and a VS-2-6 transmission.
Only 14 of these buses were built. I needed it to complete the Fun Fleet Collection in order to have all of the 35 foot Suburban models. I lucked out and found this one and drove it back to California.
I picked this bus for the Fun Fleet because it was so unusual and not many were made. We had a lot of fun brining 9it back to California. I drove it to New Jersey and stgored it for a while. Then we drove it to Illinois to visit Kenny's aunt who was a pastor at his church. We also picked up a pair of RTSs from Madison and we al left for California. everyone wanted to drive #96 instead of those awful RTSs.
Fun Fleet Bus #96 was sold to a private party.
